As we approach the end of a very eventful year, we’d like to thank you for being a valued user. This year our product has changed massively, and our team has constantly been working hard to add features, improvements, and further value to Pensil. We wish you all a happy holiday season and look forward to reconnecting in 2023, where we’re already excited to deliver even more updates and improvements.

🔔Custom Push notification for Mobile app

Send custom push notification on your white label mobile app directly from the web platform. Send out notification about announcement, news, etc and increase engagement.

💡Featured / Highlighted Posts

Now to highlight certain important posts at the top of the feed as featured post. This featured in a similar way to pinned post but instead of post appear vertical as pinned post, this comes at the top with horizontally stacked posts. This appears on the home feed only.

How to feature a post

1. Go to any post and click on more option (3 dots) in the top right corner of the post
2. Click on Add to featured list to add Or remove from featured list to remove
3. Done

🏫Online Courses

Pensil have the course module under its umbrella now. Version 1 is simple easy to use course delivery module with basic features to host video course with content. Courses are now available for all customers on the paid plan!

🛠️Other Improvements

­­Self Account Verification - Now users can link their existing phone number or email to a different account. This was due to the fact that previously, users could create two separate accounts, one using their email and the other using their mobile number, but they were unable to link these two accounts because the system displayed credentials that were already in use.

Hide or show (event, courses, direct message) - Now, as an admin you can hide or show events, courses and direct message in Left navigation menu. Same will apply on the white label mobile app of your community. Learn more

🔨Other minor Fixes

• Country code issue fixed, earlier it was showing +91 instead of the relevant country code
• Resolved gif issue in reply of a comment where it was showing blob
• System now warns when clicked outside while creating post
• Embedded section is now full screen
• Removed download option from both video & audio
• Links in the post now follows the brand color instead of blue
• Added back to community button on direct message window
• Reordering groups and section logic changed to re-indexing instead of swapping places
